Sewing Saturday

Finally got those creative juices flowing today and gave my sewing machine a workout making a couple of gifts for two very special little girls.

 

 

 

 

Firstly, I made this quilt cover for my niece little Miss B's 1st birthday!

 

 

 I have been busting to use these gorgeous materials I picked up at Spotlight and this was the perfect project for them.

 

 Felt so good to be sewing again!!

And while I was there I made a sparkly Fairy Princess skirt for another niece Miss A.

 I couldn't believe how easy this was to make!

~Revisiting Friendship Pins~

I have been lately been trying to remember where my passion for crafting started.. One of the first things I remember making are Friendship Pins..

Friendship pins were the coolest thing when I was a kid..

Beautiful Bunting

Not only did I manage to cook an awesome roast dinner for the family but I completed the challenge set for me by my friend to complete my first sewing project and blog it, and did it two nights early!

Being a serial procrastinator I shocked myself by actually completing this challenge.

I did have some help from my gorgeous little man :)

And the newest member of our household found the whole process fascinating!

I have quite enjoyed getting my sewing mojo back and can't wait to get started on my next project!

The Begining....

So I finally bit the bullet and instead of just skulking around here and Pinterest overloading myself with more inspiration that any one person can handle, I have finally made my first Blog entry!
I had a deadline put on me my dear friend Tj to get my first sewing project completed and Blogged about by Thursday!
